My 10 year old purposely faked brushing teeth by wagging the toothbrush in front of a closed mouth, resulting in a score of 93% with no areas of improvement. 10 then brushed teeth for real and got 72% despite me watching the kid spend 90 seconds pretty thoroughly brushing all areas. 10 now says the device and app are “stupid,” so we’ll see if there’s any motivation to brush going forward. The younger kid (7) brushed 3 times in a row trying to get a top score, so at least there’s that. The product is good in theory, but accuracy is definitely lacking, which is a shame. Maybe needs a better algorithm or some AI assistance to improve the product?
