I have had the gps for a month. I live in town and it has been perfect for a social fence with alerts every time AS LONG as you keep app open in the background. Someone I get a false alarm but my yard is only 100ft by 150ft and the gps on the dog can be off 10 to 20ft. I have tested it about a half mile in all directions and only get interference drop in one direction. Holds charge for 2 full days. Easy and quick to recharge. Simple system to add/ remove from any collar.I mostly wanted it for knowing when dog leaves yard. Have also used on kids when bike riding alone. App works well on Android. Good customer service as well!Is accurate to around 50-100ft give or take. GPS part needs some work. Had it sitting on the table and it was bouncing around on the map like the dog was running in a triangle. Wish the battery lasted longer. I feel like the rubber band will break after continuously taking it off and putting it on in order to charge it which in turn forces you to buy more from them but we will see.My dog never got lost, but the tracker worked. The company cannot understand English. A lot of money for a tracker. Battery does not go long without a recharge. Customer support is poor. The hard Plastic surround that attaches the tracker with rubber bands to the collar broke. I requested a replacement. Lost in translation. German ? I was able too use the spare , but the company thought I met the rubber strap . No replacement. Look elsewhere.I recently bought this tracker because they have a couple of acres and I left my gate open one day thinking I was going right back out and the dog left the property which he never does living out on acreage there’s very little street lights it was a dark rainy night and it was a terrible hour with myself and my son driving around trying to find him When my neighbor flagged me down and had them at his house when we got home we decided to find someway to keep track of where he is so that in the event this ever happens again I could pinpoint them immediately and get him I put it on him pretty much whenever I let him out in the nighttime it has a flashing light on it and a map of my property pops up and you can draw in the boundaries at any given time I can look on my cell phone and see exactly in the yard where he is I hope I never have to use it but I have no doubt that if he gets off the property again that I will be able to locate him within minutes For peace of mind the best money I’ve ever spent the battery life is great very easy to operate and a very accurateI often walk my dogs in the early morning dark, off-leash. Most of the time they mind me well and stay close by. But, sometimes they chase rabbits out of my sight. At those I really appreciate the ability to find them quickly, before they get into some kind of trouble. So, I use this tracker and I can happily recommend it for others.I would say that it works quite well. I rarely have a problem locating my dogs on the map. The tracker can usually find them within 30 seconds - 1 minute. On occasion it takes longer. The maps are very good and can be shown in low or high detail, and the tracker dots are easy to spot.Things I've learned using it for 5 months, (1) check the pairing and the app each time before you leave the house, sometimes there are updates or problems and you will need to be on wi-fi to address them; and (2) ensure that the connector of the tracker to the dog's collar/harness is secure, I've lost one already (though the company provided a replacement at a very good price.I always walk my dogs without a leash. A few weeks ago one took off after a fox and for the first time ever I lost her for about an hour. Looking at trackers, this is the only one that's reasonably priced without a monthly charge. I received it within a couple of days and have had if for about 2 weeks. The product is very easy to set up and it generally works great. It updates her position every 10 seconds, which is the shortest interval option, but you can do a manual refresh quicker if needed. It is very intuitive and easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 on ease of use is that the controller unpairs from my phone a lot. So far it has only happened at the very start of a walk, so it doesn't concern me too much that I will lose her position when we are out, but it does add a bit of stress, and sometimes it take a few tries to get the controller to pair again, so it's a bit of a pain. Hopefully it will be something I will learn to avoid as I use the product more. We typically walk for about an hour or two each day. I find that if I turn off the tracker and controller immediately after our walk it takes 3 walks for the power to drop to 50%. One time I was out and the controller was at 8% and it wouldn't work, so now I try not to fall below 50.The map is super accurate and I like not having a monthly fee. However, I wish I knew before purchasing (and didn’t see this information clearlylisted anywhere on Amazon or their website) that in order to track your dog you have to have the controller with you. This really doesn’t help me for what I purchased it for (which was for in case our husky got out of our house and ran off, which has happened a couple of times, so I’m not going to be able to stop and grab the tracker or remember to do so) so now I have to purchase the mesh accessory that’s over $200 after already spending all the money on this itself, so kinda disappointed. The map is super accurate though and the app is easy to use.
