I learned the hard way that AirTags are WATER RESISTANT, not waterproof!I added an AirTag to our dog's collar using an open-design Airtag Dog Collar Holde which was great as I could finally keep track of 'Fido' anywhere in the house, yard, or anywhere else. That's the good news...The bad news was that I didn't consider that Fido loves to jump into the neighbor's pool with their dogs whenever given the chance and when they do, they usually splash around for ten minutes or more... Not ideal for an AirTag so when this happened the AirTag stopped working. Luckily I was able to remove it and dry it out so by the next day it was working again... Lucky break!Searching Amazon for a better solution, I came across these Waterproof Airtag Dog Collar Holders for Apple Airtags and ordered them. They arrived quickly and were well-packaged.Because the inside compartment has a snug-fitting rubber cover, the AirTag fits snuggly inside before the cover is installed making this a watertight solution. To test this, I placed an empty covered holder in a bowl of water and punched it to the bottom... No air bubbles escaped and in ten minutes when I removed it, there was no mosture whatsoever inside. At last, a waterproof Airtag holder for Fido!I am so impressed with these holders, that I've ordered more for use on my camera bag, tripod, and other expensive equipment that is often used outdoors. On more than one occasion I drove off leaving my tripod behind so for me, this will be a great solution. If it has a strap, this will work.
