Well I know these small trackers are a big investment and many off-brand pop ups claim they do exactly what the ‘first’ branded AirTag does and that’s a great thing for a savvy shopper. But, and I’ll get to that shortly.So? So it works! It pairs very quickly with my iPad iOS device and i was able to track it across town about 3.6 miles. Fair game, fair item, fair play, to do just what i wanted… to track/trace the wear a-bouts of anything i would put it, like a pocket or a purse, and or attached it too… like in this case it was a attached onto a simple non-de script circular keyring.Okay so the ‘but’ in the room? *i got this less-expensive smart tag to attach to an item(a new upgraded multi changeable key ring) that had a precut section where the maker said that it was made for an AirTag and i assumed all air/smart tags were the same size plus. Sure these nifty looking tags seem to be the size of an Apple tag, and they work exactly the same and pair correctly “BUT” they are different in size. This tag is larger. This Smart Tag is thicker and sadly unable to ‘fit’ within the key ring i got. Okay so I’m being picky, but aren’t all shoppers who take the time to buy the right things picky and selective? I think so so let me let others beware. If you’re using this smart tag to actually fit within another device please know that this item is 1 7/8” inches across and nearly 4/8” wide.That said just know it’s perfect! I shall be liking to think that this Smart Tag is like many third party phone cases we buy that work exactly the same as high end name brand ones but just for a lot less money. Thank the makers that we shoppers have choice and how we budget shoppers have this ability.***read the instructions and don’t skip steps.
