Love these shoes! I feel like my leg muscles are more engaged when I wear these compared to my normal shoes. They feel great and are super comfy.I wanna buy more for regular use as well. While these are certainly wider than _some_ women's boots I've tried on, they are still not wide enough for my feet. I can get them on, and the leather will loosen over time, but it is still aggravating when they are labeled as "wide". I would have ordered men's, had my equivalent size been available, but it was not. Also, you may need to order two sizes up, not just one (I sent back my first attempt for the next size up).Otherwise, I quite like them. I've gotten to where I can't stand wearing the big heavy boots I used to for winter, and wanted something more like the FiveFingers I wear in summer (and, yes, I've tried insulated FiveFingers; they are not good in loose snow). These fit the bill nicely, and seem to have good traction (though I haven't used them much yet).Still, if you do have wider than average feet, I would suggest trying the men's version (can't verify that they're wider, but it seems likely that they are).Everyone is complaining about how tight they are, and yes when you first put them on they are fairly pinched. BUT, they do stretch considerably pretty fast, wear them a couple days before writing them off as too small. Happy with mine 100%Bought a size 6.. they fit my shirt wide feet like a glove. Very well made out of quality materials.Very comfortable. I would definitely buy again.Order a size up and they still did not fit and had to return them. Website says wide but they are a medium width.Wish there were more options for Euro shoes like this in the USThese are just what I was looking for. My feet have room, feels like walking barefoot with protection. They are waterproof and so comfortable. Initially I ordered directly from Vivo but fed ex lost my package so I ordered from Amazon. Fast delivery.I’m typically a US 9 but have learned to size up in the Vivos. This is a great hiking boot with enough structure to make long hikes on rough terrain comfortable but still let you feel the ground. Its still warm here so I removed the insulated soles for now, can’t wait to test them out this winter.I used to look forward to ripping my boots off and slipping on some sandals after a long hike.. Not anymore, I could live in these boots.Love the fit and the look haven’t had the opportunity to really try them on a hike but plan to very soon,.Pleased with the quality of the shoe and the fit.I love Vivo Barefoot shoes and wear this brand 95% percent of the time I’m wearing shoes. I purchased this pair in the same size as the other ones I own however they were distinctly smaller than my other vivo pairs. I could see this by lining them up next to the others that they were slightly shorter in the sole. I broke them in gradually and then wore them to scramble over Striding Edge but I would take this into account before purchasing, particularly if you have a high instep as there is no give across the top of the foot. The stitching is so tight and there is no way to loosen it unlike in their other ankle boots. They are also slightly shorter in length than my other vivo barefoot shoes (even though they are the exact same size and width) and I could feel my right toe at the end of the shoe whilst on the descent from my hike. All that said, they were made for scrambling I’m sure because I could feel every bit of the rock beneath my feet in the best way and they made me feel more nimble and sure footed whilst I was atop various rocks! I do really like the slim soles and have noticed my feet are so much stronger since I started wearing this brand and I do believe this has a kinetic chain up the body affecting balance and other things!I rarely write negative reviews, but I'd had my eyes on getting a pair of vivobarefoots for some time.I read all the reviews and got a size larger after other reviewers had recommended sizing up. I am a wide 5.5-6 and bought a size 7. Too narrow! I only tried on one boot on my narrowest foot. It was long and in length I think I could have had a 6 or even a 5, but was too tight across the foot beyond where the laces are. And so stiff! I don't understand the name, such a stiff footwear, I think DMs would be easier to wear in than these.I've not rated below 2 because I think if you have a narrow foot and want a sturdy stiff pair of boots for walking then I can see that these would be ideal for you. And I love the look of them, so heartily disappointed they didn't fit me.I only received these yesterday and have worn them on 2 walks. The sole is very different so they will take a bit of getting used to, however the fit is perfect for me (UK 8) and I have one foot a different size to the other! I don't have particularly wide feet but do walk around 8 miles a day so prefer the fact their is plenty of room around the toes. The jury is out so far if they are waterproof - this is something I will find out soon enough in this country! They are an expensive item, but you can't put a price on happy feet. I shall remain hopeful that I have finally found a waterproof boot (with the exception of wellies). So far, so good.I was so excited to get my first barefoot boots.Space for toes to wiggle, flexible shoe, fits like a glove etc, right? No!I went half a size up, to ensure there’s space. Well there’s none. The shoes are so tight that the top presses against my foot causing it to cramp if I try to walk. The sole and the upper are so hard, no flexibility anywhere. Cannot move toes at all, as they are so tight actually presses down on my big toe. Painful boots. And all that for 160£ ??Pro beautiful boots that look well made.Ordered 3 pairs in different sizes including some badged as ‘wide fit’. All 3 pairs were samewidth and very narrow, had to return.
